Can I use a hair dryer after washing my makeup brushes?

Makeup brushes should not be dried with a hair dryer after washing. The high temperature of a hair dryer can damage the bristles of a makeup brush, causing them to split and break, and even affecting their ability to hold powder!

The right thing to do is to put your clean makeup brushes in a cool, ventilated place to dry naturally. Place the brushes on a clean towel and gently press them with your fingers to remove excess moisture, then lay them flat on a dry towel to dry. Be careful not to place the brushes in an upright position as the residual moisture may damage the metal and glue at the root of the bristles and make them loose.
